A compact frame should sit inside the brow, not beyond it. These numbers tell you whether it will.

Face Shape

Oval — most silhouettes sit easily.

Round — choose a slightly taller or more angular opening so the face does not repeat the same curve.

Square / Long — a soft oval or round shortens the face and eases the jaw.

Rhombic — keep lens width close to the cheekbones; avoid a very small bridge.

The top of the lens should follow the brow. If it sits above it, the frame is usually too large.

How To Measure

Use a pair that already fits.

Lens Width (A) — horizontal opening of one lens.

Lens Height (B) — vertical height of the same lens.

Bridge Width — gap between the two lenses.

Frame Width — outermost point to outermost point.

Temple Length — hinge to tip of the arm.

If these numbers sit close to a pair you already wear, the new frame will feel familiar. Polarized lenses use the same measurements.
